There are three types of SMS sender ID:-

  • Long numbers :- Long numbers are the numerical sender Ids, which are the same length as the national mobile numbers. For example :- 5656544665
  • Short codes :- Short codes are short digit sequences, significantly shorter than telephone numbers, that are used to address messages in Multimedia Messaging System and short message service systems of mobile network operators. For example :- 5686
  • Alphanumeric :- The sender names that composes of letters from the alphabet (A-Z), and numeric characters. This sender represents the brand name and is displayed as such when you received.
